Why is sleep so important?

It's actually not always easy to know whether we are having 'good' sleep or not. Tracking apps aren't great and we know we can be in a state of unconscious overnight without the body actually doing it's vital restoration.

For those aware sleep is not good, it can be frustrating to hear how important sleep is. Nevertheless, knowing quality matters can mean we can look to optimise what sleep we do get.

Typically, for optimal function we need around 8 and a quarter hours sleep and this is ideally around 10pm-6am (as indicated by our natural sleep-wake cycle). The quality of this sleep is indicated to be more important than the quantity and ways to enhance sleep quality are included in the free eBook 'Super Recharging Sleep'.
